Run Foundations: A New Community for Runners of All Levels
Are you looking to get stronger as a runner, but don't know where to start? Or maybe you're an experienced runner who wants to connect with others and learn more to run smarter? Run Foundations by Day One Physio is here to help!
A Fresh Approach to Running
We know that joining a new run club can feel intimidating—especially when you're not sure if it’s the right fit. That’s why we created Run Foundations: a relaxed, no-pressure community where people of all running abilities can come together to learn, grow, and improve, without the fear of judgment or unrealistic expectations.
Whether you're completely new to running or someone who's been hitting the pavement for a while, this group is for you. We’re not about speed or competition—our goal is to build a supportive environment where everyone can feel empowered to reach their running potential, at their own pace.
What Makes Run Foundations Different?
You might be wondering, “Another run club? What’s so special about this one?” Well, Run Foundations is designed to help you not just run more, but to run smarter. We’re bringing in experts from various fields to give you valuable insights into all aspects of running, including:

Footwear: Understanding how the right shoes can affect your biomechanics, speed, and stability.

Biomechanics: Learning how your body moves while running and how you can optimize it.

Nutrition: What to eat to fuel your runs and recovery.

Technique: Improving your form to reduce injury and increase efficiency.

Loading programs: The group will all receive a 10km run plan which we will work towards together each month.

Strength Training: How to build strength to support your running goals.
Each month, we’ll connect you with professionals who are eager to share their knowledge and help you become the best runner you can be—no matter where you're starting from.
Our First Meet: April 4th, 2025
We’re kicking things off with an exciting first meet on April 4th, 2025, at 5:15 pm, where we’ll have Mitch from the Albert Park Running Company join us to speak about “Considerations When Choosing the Right Shoe.” This session will dive into how the right footwear can impact your biomechanics, speed, and stability—critical knowledge for all runners!
It’s a great opportunity to get to know our community and hear from an expert who can help you make smarter choices about your running gear.

Everyone! This is a completely free and inclusive event. Whether you're brand new to running or you've been running for years, Run Foundations is all about creating a space where you can feel comfortable, learn, and grow with others on similar journeys. There’s zero ego, zero expectations—just a group of people eager to support each other.
